Today at Gearbox we received our MI6 Awards that Borderlands was awarded with earlier this year. Borderlands won a total of 6 awards including: Gold for Best Video, Silver for Funniest TV Theatrical Ad or Video Asset, Outstanding Promotional Trailer, Overall Marketing Campaign, and Bronze for Best Online Ad Unit, and Best Online Take-Over/Road-Block. A big congratulations goes out to Brian Thomas, Mikey Neumann, Mike Davis, Richard Jessup, James Houchen, Josh Rearick, Hector Fajardo, Raison Varner, Mark Petty, David Eddings, and Steve Gibson for all the awesome work they have done.

The June/July issue of Game Developer magazine recognizes Gearbox as one of the top 30 developers of 2009! We're thrilled to be included in this list of companies recognized for moving the industry forward. You can pick up the issue from a newsstand near you, or online, to read the Gearbox blurb and see who else they included!
That's not the only Gearbox connection in this issue! Our very own Adam May, a lead character artist, contributed a review of Pixologic's Zbrush 3.5 R3 - a great read for those of you interested in 3-D modeling with this piece of software.
Anthony Burch, the creator of Hey Ash Whatcha Playin (you can watch them all here using their filters) and writer at Destructoid, has joined the Gearbox team! You can read his farewell post at Destructoid, which contains his proposal to his girlfriend (that little "YES!" strawberry? Her answer). A heartwarming tale! We're big fans of Anthony and are extremely excited to welcome him to the Gearbox team!
